Yeah, we know, the blog is called All About Fifth. Occasionally, though, stuff happens near our favorite avenue that is worth mentioning. Here are a couple of events that are not taking place on Fifth Avenue. We'll forgive them this time:
Public Info Meeting: Plaza Design at the Barclays Center
Although not on Fifth, the arena will directly affect the avenue and our nearby neighbors.

Brooklyn Borough Hall
209 Joralemon Street (at Court Street)
Representatives will be present from Forest City Ratner Companies to brief interested residents on plans for the public plaza in front of the arena. There will be a Q&A session.
Park Slope Restaurant Tour
The tour is taking place on 6th, 7th and 8th Avenues but hey, we'll cut them some slack.
Sample food from more than 30 area restaurants in one night. Stroll along 7th, 6th & 8th Avenues for delicious freebies from participating restaurants. Collect "Return Visit" coupons and get a discount when you visit the next time. Thursday September 23rd 6:00pm to 9:00pm
