Welcome Back!

We're a little late to this story but we were such big fans of the television show, we just had to post something. According to Only the Blog Knows Brooklyn, a replica of the original "Welcome to Brooklyn" sign (originally featured in the "Welcome Back Kotter" opening) is now on permanent display in Brooklyn Borough Hall. Unfortunately, the original was stolen 33 years ago.

So, after watching the show's opening sequence, above, the term "The more things change, the more they stay the same" came to mind. I mean, there are no iPhones, fancy strollers or latte's in the opening credits of Welcome Back Kotter, but it all seems very familiar, doesn't it?
