Fall Shopping on Fifth

With so many one-of-a-kind shops and boutiques located along Park Slope’s Fifth Avenue, we’re highlighting a few new items for the Fall. We'll be doing this at least once per season, so stay tuned!

Beautiful host/hostess gifts:

O Live Brooklyn’s Gourmet Gift Pack features their all natural White and Black Truffle Oil, Roasted French Walnut Oil, Toasted Japanese Sesame Oil, Aged white Balsamic Vinegar and Aged Traditional Balsamic vinegar in 60ml bottles. Nuff said. ($50)

Our hearts skipped a beat when we saw these Simply Curated Candles, from Annie’s Blue Ribbon General Store. Made in Brooklyn, they’re handmade and poured into vintage glasses, making each one completely unique.  The scents are amazing – Guava Fig Soy, Sage-Cedar Soy, Vanilla Lavendar Soy, Grapefruit Bergamot Soy. ($48)

Fall is the perfect time to get cookin’ at home - and how better to organize your clipped and curated recipes than the Midnight Garden Recipe Tin Box? This elegant, vintage-inspired box comes with 12 dividers and 24 cards.  From Pink Olive, noted for its whimsical gifts for happiness and home. ($38)

Cool Kids:

For the little man in your life, there’s the Hiho Batik’s Taxi Hoodie, in vintage black for the super-cool kid. Since each one is a handmade batik design, all have slight variations making them as individual as the lucky boy you have in mind.  ($75)

Sure, we’ve all been visited by the Tooth Fairy but this charming Tooth Fairy Mouse in Matchbook from Pink Olive delivers winsome in a whole new wonderful way. ($36)

Kids have a lot of gear to carry - and what better way to lighten the load than a Personalized Messenger Bag from Hiho Batik with the name of the birthday boy or girl. ($50)

We love this Camo Sweatshirt. Super cozy, it will keep the wearer warm all fall.  Available in S, M, L ($50) Annie's Blue Ribbon General Store

Hats are hot – and Goorin Bros. , a family-owned fourth generation shop, has a most appealing selection.

We especially love the Jessica Rogers, a captivating cloche with an asymmetrical brim and a retro vibe ($65)

Also, the Maise Lock a hand-crafted wool felt pinch fedora in deep purple ($130)
