Participatory Budgeting


If you live in City Council District 39 it's that time of year, again, to join in the 4th annual participatory budgeting effort.

Each year Council Member Brad Lander hosts a series of community meetings to help him determine how to spend $1.5 million in capital funds. Roads? Schools? Parks? You decide!

The upcoming meeting schedule is provided below, starting tonight with a meeting on Streets and Transit !

Streets and Transit: Tuesday, October 14 at the NYC Transit Museum (Boerum Pl. and Schermerhorn St)

Kensington Neighborhood Assembly: Thursday, October 16 at PS230 (1 Albemarle Rd)

Parks and Environment: Monday, October 20 at the Picnic House in Prospect Park (95 Prospect Park West)

Arts, Community and Culture: Wednesday, October 22 at ReelWorks (540 President Street, #2F in Gowanus)

Public Education: Monday, October 27 at PS 154 (1625 11th Ave in Windsor Terrace)

All of the meetings will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
