We are pleased that Namaste, an Astoria, Queens family business, has opened a restaurant on #theother5th. As a Brit I am always seeking out a warm, friendly place to have a delicious curry and Namaste hits the spot.
Parminder Singh and his family have pleased my family to no end with a delicious chicken tikka masala, which has just the right amount of spices and creaminess for my children, and the shrimp curry is out of this world. To top it off we had some puffy, fresh nan bread, the kids mango lassis, which they adored, and of course I needed to wash it down with a couple of Kingfisher beers.
The service is excellent and the place, albeit small, is warm and welcoming. They have a backyard, lunch and happy hour specials and of course home delivery.
